How to install the Ram Bo Crystal Disk USB Flash Disk in Windows 98
/ Windows 98SE
How to do it
Install the software first. Unlike other USB flash disks, the Ram Bo
Crystal Disk USB Flash Disk requires you run the Setup.exe on the
supplied mini CD-ROM first. Then (and only then) can you successfully
insert the flash disk. Once the software is installed, the flash disk
is detected and installed automatically when you insert the flash disk.
Quick help
Problem
You install the flash disk in the usual way like other flash disks, but
no drive letter for the USB drive appears in "My Computer". In Device
Manager, there is a yellow exclamation point on "USB Flash Disk". The
device status is "The NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could
not load the device driver. (Code 2.)".
Meaning
You have not installed the software. You have to install the software
first.
Solution
Run "D:\English\Driver\Setup.exe". Restart the computer. When Windows
comes back up, it will detect and install the flash disk automatically.
A new drive letter for the flash disk will appear under "My Computer".
